Reminds me of an article in a Pakistani newspaper with the headline: Police arrest two womens pies.

Ag! Yep, when she said "Your lot" I was just about to go off, luckily a few people had called me 'English' on my travels so luckily i cottoned on.

That might sound weird but i don't get called English over here.

That pie sounds pucker..apart from the Camembert!

Re: Crisp Of The Week
ha ha I can just imagine you preparing for a racist tirade about Pakis etc.

Pies? Yes, yes we do.

The single best pie I've ever eaten is from Richoux Patisserie in Ellerslie here in Auckland. A chicken, bacon and camembert pie. I think it won the NZ Pie Awards in 2012 or something.

Even just the local bakery does a bloody good pie, without even having to look for a gourmet one.

Re: Crisp Of The Week
EAH - Funny you should post that as my vinegar related story is in NZ as well.

I was driving through Arthurs pass, from one side of South Island to the other about 18 years ago and stopped of at a remote cafe/restaurant ordered pie and chips and the bird behind the counter said "I suppose you'll be wanting vinegar on your chips like the rest of your lot"
"My lot" i said?
She's says :Yes, You English always have vinegar on your chips"
Oh that lot, yeh!

PS NZ and OZ do some stonking pies.

Re: Crisp Of The Week
Went to a pub/restaurant in Auckland City a couple of years ago and asked for some vinegar for my chips.

The waitress looked at me completely blankly and so I repeated myself.

She disappeared and came back with a little bowl of balsamic.

Christ girl, what sort of sheltered life have you lived.

Never really noticed that Grumps about Norway mind you i didn't eat crisps or sweets there as they were so bloody expensive.

I'll have to find some salt n vinegar in the U.S now, not noticed any before.

Re: Crisp Of The Week
At least the septics appreciate vinegar def.

Always freaks me out in places like Norway where it's really hard getting salt n vinegar as they don't know what vinegar is.

Re: Crisp Of The Week
Actually seeing as i'll be storm chasing in the U.S again soon i'll change my crisps to:

Lays kettle cooked Jalapeño flavour.

They do some fucked up flavours there, Chicken and waffle are probably the weirdest i've seen.

Sounds like you were often close to shitting yourself well before the Duchess came on the scene then Gavros?

At a festival in the 90s I needed a shit and had a large pringles tube to hand. My turd filled the length and girth of the tube. I showed everyone and then lobbed it at some noisy cunts across the field.

Pringles are not crisps, not sure what they are. Full of MSG no doubt.

Re: Crisp Of The Week
I suffered a little from crisp confusion when I first came back to NZ.

Salt & Vinegar is in GREEN packets here, not BLUE.

And, there are no Chilli Heatwave Doritos in the Red packet here either, it's Cheese Supreme.

Caught me out a few times.
